Samuel Cortès

Each year in March, the blossoms of the Prunus cerasifera appear as white punctuations across the landscape. I enter the night to observe the tree’s premature awakening within a nature still held in dormancy.

In these nocturnal moments, the landscape I illuminate becomes an object of unfamiliar forms. Light intensifies a phenomenon that repeats itself endlessly, marking the inevitable rupture of a cycle.
